Her core fields of expertise are assessments, economic modeling, pricing, financing strategies and business development in the fields of climate change and waste management. She has worked extensively in Romania and Hungary and has been an expert on several international projects. She holds expert positions on UNFCCC JI and CDM accreditation teams and is an expert evaluator for the INTERREG, CBC, SOP Regional Development financing programs of the EU. She holds a master degree of Wageningen University, the Netherlands in Environmental Sciences, with a specialization in environmental economics and environmental system analyses. Her Bachelor degree is a double major in Applied Economics and Business Administration from the American University in Bulgaria.

Ciprian Popovici has 5 years experience in environmental consulting in Romania and abroad. His fields of expertise are environmental policy, multi-stakeholder processes, strengthening institutional and organisational capacities for environmental improvement, facilitating communication and dialogue, environmental education and socio-ecological networks. He holds a master degree of Wageningen University, the Netherlands in Environmental Sciences with a specialisation in environmental policy and education and competence studies.

Cosmin Briciu has 2 years of experience working as an environmental consultant. His main interests are in waste management, climate change, environmental risk assessment and renewable energy solutions. In the framework of an internship at Siemens Austria, financed through the Erasmus program, his main task was to evaluate the wind energy potential of Romania. Furthermore, Cosmin has a solid experience in working with environmental and social NGOs, having been involved in several projects, as project manager and project assistant. He holds a Bachelor degree of Babes Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca with a specialization in Environmental Sciences and he is a Master of Science candidate for a specialization in Climate Change.

Daniel is a member of our team as a result of the partnership with the Hungarian company UTB Envirotec KFT. His main focus is the biological treatment of waste water, climate change and renewable energy generation from manure, residual biomass originating from agriculture and other organic wastes. His other interests are evolutionary biology and extreme risk phenomena. Daniel is experienced in sales and marketing, experience gained in the banking sector in Romania. He holds a Bachelor degree of Babes Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca with a specialization in Environmental Sciences. Now he is attending to the master in “Climate Change and Extreme Risk Phenomenon” at the same university.

Anna is a biologist specialised in ecology and has eight years experience in habitat and vegetation survey, participating as team member in several surveys and the development of conservation management of protected areas; she also worked on biological aspects of built heritage conservation and maintenance. Anna has teaching experience at the Faculty of Biology and Geology, Babes Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca where she also is a Ph.D. candidate in the field of forest ecology. She holds a master degree in Biocenology and Management of Protected Areas and a BSc in Ecology and Environmental Protection, both obtained at the above mentioned faculty.

Ramona has a vast experience in preparing the documentation needed for the issuance of environmental permits (involved in over 30 EIA, risk assessment and due diligence audits), sampling air, water and soil analysing results of measurements, carrying out measurements for noise, particle pollution, etc. Ramona holds two relevant master degrees, one in public health and industrial hygene, and another one in risk assessment and environmental safety. Ramona’s undergraduate studies are in the field of environmental sciences, Faculty of Geography, Babes Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca.

Liviu Gheorghe is an engineer specialized in the field of energy and has extensive experience working with fossil fuel based electricity/cogeneration plants in Romania and abroad. In the last 6 years he has been involved in the technical and economical assessment of different investment projects in the electricity and heat field (fuels: gas, coal, oil, biomass; wind), Joint Implementation, CDM projects and Voluntary Carbon Market Projects. He graduated a M.Sc. in Environmental management, legislation and waste in Alés, France, and has acquired extensive experience in EIAs for energy projects and waste to energy projects. Since 2006, he is a methodology expert on the United Nations Framework Convention for Climate Change Joint Implementation (UNFCCC JI) Accreditation Team (AT) and PDD Review. Liviu was also involved in set-up of the National Allocation Plan of Romania and the team working on the National Climate Change Strategy of Romania.
